My Story
I started my career with Waitrose, starting on the shopfloor at 15 years old. I went to uni and then joined the Graduate Programme and became the youngest branch manager in the business at 24 years old. I went on to hold senior roles across the John Lewis Partnership, leading large teams and working across talent, leadership, culture and people development.
And then I changed direction.
When my Dad was diagnosed with a terminal illness in 2020, I decided to make my own company to allow for flexibility. That company was Good Work Life and I've created a career that combines coaching, consulting, advisory work and non-executive roles. I’ve worked with organisations including M&S, McDonald’s, Saga, Starbucks, and businesses across financial services, technology, professional services and the public and third sectors.
I’ve recruited people for international businesses, developed them, coached them, sponsored graduate talent and advised organisations on how they find and develop great people.
Outside work, I spend my time playing golf course and rarely miss a race during the Formula One season. I'm also a lifelong supporter of Portsmouth Football Club, which has taught me plenty about resilience and patience over the years (N.B. I can work with Southampton fans).
I'm an auntie to three fantastic kids and adore spending time with my family down on the south coast.
I believe in making the most of this one life we have.
